Free day to explore the city. Optionally, you can take a tour along the beautiful Progreso boardwalk aboard the Pedal Bar, a fun little vehicle that will take you to several restaurants to sample snacks and beers, and enjoy the sunset (optional Beer Tour, adults only).

After breakfast, we will transfer to Celestún, one of Yucatán’s greatest eco-tourism paradises, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Biosphere Reserve. During a boat tour, you’ll have the opportunity to observe pink flamingos and a variety of birds, explore the mangroves, and enjoy a Mayan bath. In a shallow area of the sea, you can collect some clay and use it to exfoliate your skin. To conclude, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal by the sea (included) and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the beach.

Return to Mérida

We will be waiting for you at the train station to immerse ourselves in the Mayan culture by visiting one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World – Chichén Itzá. Accompanied by a local guide, you will visit the Temple of Kukulkán and the other magnificent structures of this archaeological site.

Afterward, you will enjoy an ancestral experience at a Mayan Sanctuary, where you’ll be welcomed with a traditional copal ceremony, visit a typical Mayan house, take part in a workshop to make regional condiments (recados), and swim in the crystal-clear waters of a cenote. You’ll also enjoy a simple but delicious lunch (included).

In the afternoon, we will return to Mérida.

Experience a fantastic full-day tour where you can explore the archaeological site of Xcambó, which means "Celestial Crocodile" or "Place of Barter," admire the pink waters of Xtampú, learn about the salt extraction process, and take beautiful photographs. Afterward, relax at a comfortable beach club where you can enjoy the seascape, swim in the ocean or one of the pools, take a kayak ride, or sample some of the delicious dishes at the restaurant.

In the morning, we will head to Uxmal, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most majestic Mayan archaeological sites in Yucatán. Here, we will take a guided tour where you can explore the low, horizontal palaces arranged around courtyards, richly decorated with sculptures made from thousands of perfectly polished stones, forming geometric mosaics of unparalleled precision throughout the Mayan region.

 At the end of the tour, we will walk to the Chocolate Museum, where through a guided visit you’ll learn about its origin, distribution, uses around the world, and ancient Mayan preparation methods. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the botanical gardens with cacao trees and the animal sanctuary.

Very early in the morning, we will depart for a beautiful 17th-century hacienda, where activities such as livestock farming, agriculture, and henequen cultivation were carried out. Accompanied by a guide, you’ll explore the hacienda and learn about its history, as well as swim in the crystal-clear waters of its two cenotes, where Empress Carlota herself once bathed.

Afterward, we will head to a mid-19th-century hacienda, where you will witness every step of the henequen transformation process (also known as the “Green Gold” of this region), from plant to fiber, and from fiber to finished product. You will also see antique machinery, carefully restored to full working order. Additionally, you will visit a typical Mayan house.

Afterward, you can take a refreshing dip at the end of your tour. Conclude your visit by enjoying the delicious flavors of Yucatecan cuisine (included).
