Day 1: MÉXICO - LIMA

  • Meeting at Mexico City Airport to board the flight to Lima. Overnight on board.

Day 2: LIMA - CUSCO

  •  Arrival at Lima Airport and connection flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel by our Travel Viajes Group representative. In the afternoon, exclusive city tour. Immerse yourself in the capital of the Inca Empire, starting with the visit to Qoricancha Temple: the most important religious center of the Inca Empire. Admire the perfect integration of Inca and colonial architecture, where golden walls once shone in honor of the Sun God. Sacsayhuamán: We ascend to the majestic fortress of Sacsayhuamán, an engineering marvel of the Inca civilization that will take your breath away. Admire its enormous stone blocks, perfectly fitted together, and discover the legends surrounding this impressive complex. Cristo Blanco: Free time to visit the White Christ, a spectacular monument offering incredible photo opportunities of Cusco. We will also enjoy a photo session in the beautiful eucalyptus forest. Qenqo: Visit the ceremonial center of Qenqo, a labyrinth of underground passages and rock-carved altars. Discover the mysteries of this sacred place, where the Incas performed rituals and offerings to their gods. Huayllarcocha Community: We will enjoy an exhibition of original alpaca fibers and interact with Andean camelids. Puca Pucara: We explore the red fortress of Puca Pucara, a strategic military control point during the Inca Empire. Admire its reddish stone walls and enjoy panoramic views of the Cusco valley. Tambomachay: A very important site for the Incas, dedicated to the worship of water while also serving as a place of leisure; it is also known as the place of the waters of eternal youth. Finally, we return to the city center of Cusco.

Day 3: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS.

  • Breakfast. We will visit the most important sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will depart to the town of Chinchero, the most traditional and picturesque in the Sacred Valley. This town is also famous for its women weavers. We will make a short stop at a textile center to appreciate their beautiful fabrics and learn about ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. In Chinchero, we will also visit its Inca archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church. We will continue to Moray, a beautiful and fascinating Inca archaeological site made up of enormous concentric terraces that resemble a great amphitheater. In Inca times, it served as an agricultural laboratory where different microclimates were recreated. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the area. We will conclude our tour by visiting the impressive archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca military, religious, and agricultural center. We will visit the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Ñusta Baths, and the Temple of the Sun, among other sites of interest. The panoramic views from the heights of Ollantaytambo will close this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 4: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO.

  • Breakfast. At the scheduled time, pick-up from the hotel and transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station. We will board the train to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After the journey, we will arrive at Puente Ruinas station, where we will take the bus that will take us to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (approximately 30 minutes on an unpaved road). Machu Picchu was built by the Inca Pachacútec and is composed of stone blocks fitted with masterful precision. It blends harmoniously into the mountainous landscape. As you walk through the complex, you will admire its impressive architecture while your guide shares interesting theories about its history and importance for the Incas. The breathtaking views and the magic of the site are unmatched. After a 2-hour guided tour, you will have free time to explore or rest and enjoy this extraordinary place. At the scheduled time, we will descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes. Finally, we will take the tourist train back to Cusco, where our transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Day 5: VINICUNCA MOUNTAIN.

  • Very early in the morning, we will begin our journey along the Southern Valley. Our first stop will be in Cusipata, where we will have breakfast. We will then continue to Phulawasipata (4,600 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our adventure to Rainbow Mountain, Vinicunca. We will begin a hike of approximately 2 hours (4 km) along a trail offering spectacular views, including the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain. Upon reaching the summit, we will admire the natural beauty of Vinicunca, famous for its vibrant colors created by the minerals in the soil. The surrounding landscape will allow us to connect deeply with the natural beauty of the Cusco region. After descending, we will return to Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch, after which we will head back to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 7: CUSCO – LIMA

  • Breakfast. At the scheduled time, assistance and transfer to Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport. Arrival in Lima and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a tour of Lima through its three historical stages: Ancestral, Colonial, and Modern Lima. We will begin in the contemporary area of Lima, where we will see the city’s main buildings and residential districts. We will visit Miraflores and the Parque del Amor, where we will have time to enjoy the oceanfront view along the boardwalk and take photos. We will then proceed to a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient archaeological complex built in the 4th century AD. This structure was considered a ceremonial and administrative center in pre-Inca times. Continuing the tour, we will visit the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs, one of the most important examples of colonial religious art in the Americas. Its main attraction is its underground crypts known as the Catacombs. Finally, we will head to Lima’s Historic Center, where we will see what was once the old walled city, featuring more than fifty colonial monuments and buildings, including Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Municipal Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, and the Basilica Cathedral, among others.
